The terms each kind of organisation accepts when it uses Karibu ID.

These terms are placeholders while counsel prepares the final wording. They show what each set of terms will cover; they are not yet the terms anyone relies on. Each organisation accepts the version current at its first sign-in, and accepts again when a new version is published.

Karibu ID subject terms

Galfini Limited operates Karibu ID. These terms govern the checks a company commissions on itself. The company's owner accepts them for the company at first sign-in; a new version is accepted again at the next sign-in. They are accepted before the company consents to an engagement.

  1. What is checked. Karibu ID checks the company against public and official sources and the evidence it provides, and records findings with their evidence; it never gives a verdict, rating or prediction.
  2. Sharing. The company decides who reads its record, for which purpose and for how long, and sees every read.
  3. Directors and owners. The company agrees that Karibu ID notifies its directors and in-scope owners that the company commissioned a check, and warrants that the contact details it gives for them are accurate and that it may give them for this purpose.
  4. Accuracy. The company warrants that what it declares is true and complete, and may respond to or dispute any finding.
  5. Charges. Prices come from the published rate card and the company's declared answers only; sharing is never billed.

Karibu ID reader terms

Galfini Limited operates Karibu ID. These terms govern how a reader organisation (a buyer, lender, investor, platform or professional firm) reads organisations' records that are shared with it. The organisation's admin accepts them for the organisation at first sign-in; a new version is accepted again at the next sign-in.

  1. What you read. You read only what an organisation shares with you, for the purpose it names, while the share is live. A record states findings with their evidence, source, grade and as-at date; it is never a verdict, rating or prediction about anyone.
  2. Your use. You use a shared record only for the purpose shared and do not pass it on beyond your organisation, except as the law requires.
  3. What is recorded. Every read is recorded and shown to the organisation whose record it is.
  4. Charges. Monitoring of the organisations you follow is billed monthly at the published rates; sharing is never billed; no fee depends on a finding, a deal or its outcome.
  5. Personal data. You process the personal data in a record as a controller in your own right, under the Data Protection Act, 2019, for the purpose shared only.

Karibu ID Connect terms

Galfini Limited operates Karibu ID. These terms govern a platform's use of Karibu ID Connect, its programming interface. The platform organisation's admin accepts them at first sign-in, before the platform enrols; a new version is accepted again at the next sign-in.

  1. Consent first. A platform reads or acts on a company's record only under a live grant the company approved, within its scopes and purpose; there is no lookup without one.
  2. Credentials. The platform keeps its keys and webhook secrets secure and rotates them when asked; Karibu ID may suspend a platform at once, which revokes every grant.
  3. What is recorded. Every call is recorded and shown to the company whose record it is.
  4. Charges. Monitoring and any sponsored verification are billed at the published rates; no fee depends on a finding, a policy result or a deal.
