Who we are
Karibu ID is operated by Galfini Limited in Nairobi, Kenya. We check organisations, at their own request, against public and official sources and the documents they provide, and record what we find with its evidence.
Why you are hearing from us
A company you are named as a director or owner of has asked Karibu ID to check it. Its public records about you, such as your role and your shareholding, are part of that check. The company itself asked for the check; you have not been singled out.
What we look at
Public and official records about the company that name you: the company register, beneficial-ownership filings, the Kenya Gazette, court records, regulators’ lists and published news. We do not collect photographs of you or copies of your identity documents.
Our lawful basis
We process this data under the Data Protection Act, 2019 of Kenya, on the basis set out in the full notice.
The wording of the lawful basis is still with counsel. We will publish it here before any notice is sent to a live director or owner, and this page will show the new version.
Your rights
You have the right to know what we hold about you, to ask for it to be corrected or erased, to object to how we use it, and to ask for a person to review any automated step.
